Sean Smith

As one half of ‘Same Difference’, Sean Smith entered the fourth season of the UK reality TV show ‘The X Factor’, where they were mentored by music mogul ‘Simon Cowell’ & reached the final, finishing third out of 250,000 applicants.

Following on from the show, Same Difference embarked on the UK arena tour as part of the X Factor touring show. The tour visited packed arenas all over the UK, with the duo recreating their best loved performances, winning over legions of fans, & receiving enthusiastic critical reviews.

Same Difference’s debut album found them collaborating with some of the biggest names in pop – including Pete Waterman & Mike Stock, and the groups debut single ‘We R One’ shot into the ‘Top 20’, & was shortly followed by the album ‘POP’, which has so far sold in excess of 220,000 copies, & has been certified Gold in the UK.

Same Difference released their second studio album ‘The Rest Is History’ to rave reviews, with leading track ‘Shine On Forever’ reaching #8 on the ‘UK Dance chart’ & the album hitting number #9 on the independent album chart & #10 on the iTunes UK pop chart. To date Same Difference’s record sales have amassed in excess of 300,000 units.

Sean signed to Energise records as a solo artist, & released his debut solo single ‘Turn Me On’ in September 2016. The single became the labels fastest selling physical single, & the music video amassed over 26000 views in its first 3 weeks of release. The remix EP reached #15 on the UK iTunes dance chart.

Sean is currently recording his debut solo album which is set to be released in 2017.
